Black Bear Crossing is a neighborhood of large townhouses on the North Mountain side of Snowshoe. It sits right next to the Powderidge lift and on the Village walking path, so it stays quiet at night and the Village is still an easy walk away.
The townhouses run from four to eight bedrooms, with modern finishes and air conditioning. That size is why families, reunions, and wedding parties like it here: everyone can stay in one place, and the shared pavilion gives the whole group somewhere to gather outside.
Location
Where it sits on the mountain.
Black Bear Crossing is at the northern end of the mountaintop Village walking path. The Powderidge lift is next door, and a green run connects the community to the slopes, so every VisitSnowshoe home here is ski-in, ski-out.
The Village is a 5 to 10 minute walk along the path, and the free resort shuttle makes the trip when the weather turns. The Basin and Western Territory lifts are within walking distance too. In summer the same spot puts the bike trails and the scenic lift rides at the Western Territory close by.
