Two homes, side by side. One trip.

Black Bear 32 and 33 are two of the ten VisitSnowshoe homes. Booked together, they are the largest stay in the collection and one of the few places at Snowshoe where a group this size can ski out the back door together.

Each townhome has its own front door, kitchen, living room, hot tub, and game room, so a reunion can spread out and still eat dinner together. There is no internal connecting door. Between the two homes there are four full-size refrigerators, two large dining tables plus bar seating, and two gas fireplaces.

VisitSnowshoe now has a local team at Snowshoe to help guests with whatever they need during a stay. Help comes from people who are here, not a call center.

Supply depot

Snowshoe is remote. Help isn’t.

Snowshoe sits high and far from everything, which is a big part of the appeal. VisitSnowshoe keeps a supply depot at the base of the mountain, set up to serve guests when they need it most.

Are the two homes connected inside?

No. Black Bear 32 and 33 are adjacent townhomes with no internal connecting door. Each has its own lockable front door, which many groups like: two families or two teams can each have a home base and still be next door.

How many people can stay?

Up to 36 guests plus 2 small children, across 14 bedrooms (8 king bedrooms and 6 bunk rooms) with 26 beds.

How do we book both homes?

The pair has its own listing, so both homes book together as one stay with one set of dates.

Is it a good fit for a company retreat?

It is set up for large groups, multi-family trips, reunions, and corporate retreats, with two kitchens, two living rooms, and two game rooms. Parties and events are not allowed, so share the plan and headcount when you inquire.

Are there age requirements?

Yes. The guest booking must be at least 30, and most of the group must be 25 or older. After booking, guests upload an ID and a guest list.

What are check-in and check-out times?

We offer complimentary early check-in when possible for direct book customers, but on peak days, check-in is after 5:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, a $2,000 security deposit applies when the two homes are booked together.

Which Homes Are Ski-In/Ski-Out?

All 10 of our VisitSnowshoe homes are ski-in/ski-out! Our homes were carefully chosen to ensure every home offers incredibly convenient access to skiing and snowboarding.

Black Bear Crossing 32 & 33: Located right beside the Powderidge lift, with slope access outside the back door. Perfect for larger families and groups who want to spend more time skiing and less time getting to the slopes!
Loggers Run 4, 12 & 16: Situated directly on Flume, Snowshoe’s longest green beginner run. An especially convenient location for families with people new to skiing.
Mountain Lodge 114, 140, 144 & 146: All four are on the first floor, in the heart of the Village, just steps from the main resort ski lift (Ballhooter). Units 114 and 140 offer slope access right from their living room sliding glass doors, while 144 and 146 are just a few steps from the building’s exit to Ballhooter.
Seneca 113: Step outside your private entrance directly into Snowshoe Village, with the snow just a few steps away. Even better, Expedition Station is directly across the pathway, where ski school, private lessons, and equipment rentals typically meet.

No driving to the slopes, no searching for parking, and no hauling gear on a shuttle every time you want to ski. Just easy access to the mountain, more time enjoying the snow, and the freedom to return to your home whenever you need a break!
